Today is our 8th anniversary. It's hard to believe that it was 8 years ago today that I walked down that aisle and said "I do". It's been 8 great years. Yes, we've had our arguments but what couple doesn't?
Today we spent the day together. First, we went shopping at Walmart. John bought me a battery for my watch, and several other watches that I have in which the batteries had died. We also bought a new grill. Our old one was beginning to lose its life...the starter wouldn't kick in and the dials didn't want to turn to easily. So we decided it was time to buy another one.
We also went to dinner tonight. Off we went to Texas Longhorn. As we were looking at the menu, John suggested that we have some wine. So we ordered a bottle of white zinfindel (berriger) with dinner. Sparkling wine, good conversation, great company...what more could I have asked for?
The evening is coming to close and as I think back over the last 8 years, in good times and bad, in sickness and health, for better or worse, I wouldn't change any of it!

Sounds like you had a pleasant celebration.....married eight years, and you still like each other....that's what it's all about!
